Terms of Use

1. Purpose and Acceptance

The purpose of these General Terms of Use (GTU) is to define the modalities of access and use of the platform and SaaS software Target Tech.

Access, navigation, and use of the platform imply the full and unreserved acceptance of these GTU by the user. In case of disagreement with all or part of these rules, the user must immediately cease using the service.

2. Strictly Non-Commercial Use

The user licenses granted upon subscription to the Target Tech formulas (Free, Premium, or Club) are for personal and strictly non-commercial use.

Professional or Commercial Use: Any use of the software, interface, or simulation services for professional, commercial, or promotional purposes is strictly prohibited under a standard license.

Specific Contracts: For any exploitation in a professional context (commercial clubs, professional training centers, security companies, etc.), a dedicated commercial contract must be concluded with **Target Tech**. Please contact us at contact@target-tech.fr to obtain a suitable offer.

Lifetime Purchases (Lifetime Access): Lifetime or unlimited access packages are strictly reserved for private, personal, and individual use. No commercial, promotional, professional, or money-making action or activity may be conducted using this type of access or license.

3. Account Management Rules

To use the Target Tech simulator, the user must create a personal account. The following rules apply strictly:

⚠️ Sharing prohibited

Each user account is strictly personal and confidential. Sharing credentials or simultaneous access by multiple people is strictly prohibited.

⚠️ No multiple accounts

It is prohibited to create or use multiple accounts for the same physical user to bypass usage limitations.

The Editor reserves the right to suspend or terminate without notice and without compensation any account showing signs of abusive use, credential sharing, or creation of multiple accounts.

Account Security and Responsibility: The user is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their credentials (email and password). Any access to the platform and any actions performed using the user's account are presumed to have been carried out by the user. In the event of loss, theft, or suspected compromise of credentials, the user must immediately notify the Editor by email at contact@target-tech.fr.

Integrity and Anti-Cheating: It is strictly forbidden to use virtual webcams, inject pre-recorded video feeds, or falsify network requests to artificially alter shooting scores or reaction times. The Editor reserves the right to permanently suspend access or reset statistics for any user suspected of computer fraud or cheating.

4. Prohibition of Event Organization

It is formally prohibited to organize, manage, or supervise professional shooting events, public commercial competitions, trade shows, or paid training sessions by exploiting the Target Tech software using a standard or consumer license.

Only partners holding a specific commercial license expressly granted by Target Tech are authorized to use our technology for event animations, mass training, or public operations.

5. Intellectual Property

All contents (software, algorithms, designs, logos, graphics, databases, source codes) present on the site and application are protected by French and international copyright laws.

Target Tech is a registered and protected trademark with the INPI.

The exclusive source code of the target-tech.fr website has been timestamped and digitally registered (e-Soleau) with the INPI, prohibiting any copying, plagiarism, or extraction of our detection algorithms.

Software Protection: It is strictly prohibited to attempt to decompile, disassemble, perform reverse engineering, or extract the source code and webcam video stream detection algorithms of the Target Tech platform, under penalty of immediate civil and criminal prosecution.

Use of automated technologies and AI: It is strictly prohibited to use the platform, its services, or the data obtained for the development, modification, training, testing, tuning, or validation of any artificial intelligence model, machine learning algorithm, or computer vision technology.

Unsolicited Suggestions and Feedback: Target Tech values feedback from its community. If you send suggestions, ideas for improvement, new shooting modes, or target concepts (hereinafter "Feedback") to the Editor, you agree that this Feedback may be used freely and without compensation by the Editor. Feedback transmissions do not create any obligation of confidentiality or financial compensation, and the Editor remains free to integrate these improvements into future software versions.

6. Limitation of Liability & Technical Requirements

The Editor strives to provide a stable and high-performance simulator. However, the use of our technology is under the sole responsibility of the user.

The software is provided "as is". The Editor excludes all liability for hardware failures, camera incompatibilities, laser system malfunctions, or network outages. The user is invited to respect all safety rules relating to the use of laser transmitters (Class 1/2 only).

Software updates: The software and detection scripts are automatically updated at each connection. The user agrees to receive these technical updates essential to the proper functioning of the service.

Hardware and webcam requirements: The quality and precision of the shooting detection depend directly on the user's equipment (camera stability, frame rate of 30 or 60 FPS, room brightness). The Editor cannot guarantee 100% accurate detection if the user's hardware or shooting room setup does not meet the technical prerequisites described.

Physical Safety & Training Protocol: Training with an unloaded firearm involves real risks if not practiced with rigorous discipline. The user formally agrees to completely unload their firearm (chamber and magazine check), keep any live ammunition out of the training room, and never point a laser at any person or animal. The Editor excludes all liability for any bodily injury, material damage (broken screens), or accidents occurring during training.

No Guarantee of Results: The software is an educational support tool. The Editor does not guarantee any actual improvement in your live-fire shooting performance, nor success in any shooting exams or competitions.

7. Amendments to the GTU and Service Evolutions

The Editor reserves the right to amend these GTU at any time to adapt to technical, legal, or functional updates of the platform. Users will be informed of any significant modifications by email or via a notification on the platform.

Continued use of the simulation services after the publication of the amended GTU constitutes tacit and full acceptance of the new terms by the user.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These GTU are governed and interpreted in accordance with French law.

In the event of a dispute or litigation relating to the validity, interpretation, or execution of these terms, and after failure of any mediation or search for an amicable solution, the competent courts of the jurisdiction of the Editor's registered office (Strasbourg) will have exclusive jurisdiction, even in case of multiple defendants or third-party appeals.
